Default S-Planner killed my battery over night

I woke up this morning after my alarm should have woken me up. Tried to look at my phone and it was dead.

At midnight it was 100% and this morning at 7am it was dead, 1% dead.

I quickly checked battery on settings and S-Planner is the top culprit.

Can only hazard a guess it was syncing like crazy and somehow got stuck and just abused your battery. - try turning sync off unless you really need it

Is it not "standard" practice to charge phone over night when you otherwise wont be using it. But mine is always looking for gps too when im in splanner

Perhaps, but it is not convenient to charge over night for me. Use it as alarm and a lack of plug sockets nearby.

I did have an event that set off a reminder in s-planner so that's probably what got stuck.

Default Remove S-Planner

For me it is standard to remove most Samsung garbage. As a rule of thumb you will be better off with an alternative if there is one. There are lot's of calendar apps available. I can recommend Business Calendar Pro, far superior, if for nothing else, it can sync your tasks with gmail.

Replacing S-Voice with Google Voice Search is not this easy though. S-Voice is the app which actually reduces the value of the Note 3.
Samsung Galaxy Note III N9005 - stock MJ1 rooted Knox 0x0 (since dec 6)

Replace S Voice with Google Now: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....deathtosvoice (works with always listening voice wake-up "Hi Galaxy" too!)
