Default [Q] Any roots these days on 2011 version (Ginger 2.3.5)?

OK, I tried SuperOneClick, TSSparky, and Framaroot...no dice.

GingerBreak supposedly doesn't work on Ginger devices above 2.3.3.

My phone is the 2011 AT&T Nitro HD, with Ginger 2.3.5. I have not been able to root it, so far. Seem like everyone is able to root theirs, but it sounds like they have newer versions of this phone.

Now what?

Did you try the unbricking guide?

OK, well, I could certainly look into doing that. But it's a little odd, because the phone works fine (not bricked)

Do people normally have to do the unbricking guide to get root on this phone?

Many people went through the unbricking process in order to install CWM for installing custom roms.

Yep... Hereric's unbrick guide is the way to go.

Mattman's guide is great. I went through the unbrick process about 3 weeks ago and it worked perfectly.
