Default (FIX) just made another Wi-Fi fix, take a look

Well, guess what guys, I've just bought this phone, and one of my friends said "WTF, we have a real good internet connection available here. Why don't you use it, is the one of the blue house out there, want the password?"

The blue house is about 70 meters far from the mine. But Xperia was unable to get a good connection even just in front of the house's door. It's obvious they've got I was stealing connection, they even called the police! (Nothing happened of course)

So, I discovered that it's one particular issue of this device. I have found one tutorial explaining how to edit system file to get good Internet connection. It's about modifying one line on the path /system/etc/firmware/wlan/prima/ WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini
The line says:
"#Enable BMPS
gEnableBMPS=1"
I don't know what this bmps stuff is about. I Just know it didn't make any difference for me.

So I took a Look on the file and I've found this line.

"Phy mode (auto, b, g, n, etc)
gDot11Mode=0"
I put it on auto, and know I can get signal from the corner of my house.
I also edited another line
"# Data inactivity timeout when in power save (in ms)
gDatsInactivityTimeout=200"

I thought out explains the disconnections when battery is low and the signal is poor, so I put it in 600.
I don't know which one has taken effect, but if before I had to be in front of the neighbors door with poor signal yet, know I have stable connection with lie ping and half of the speed (about three Mbps) even 70 meters far from their house

I'm very happy now that I can steal connection with no risks of getting caught, so I'm gonna share the file.

PS: the bmps feature is still disabled I have the file, maybe out is that why make the connection better, but I have rebooted the phone thrice after disabling it and it has taken no effect. Once I've modded the other lines it worked beautifully.

One other thing, if this file do **** your device, you sucks, not me.
Thanks

That's all, I cannot post outside links, so you have to edit the file yourself, repeating, the risk is yours

Well, Ive made lots of tests andI found that:
1- Is the BMPS feature what really enhances the wi-fi signal, not the others.
2- Though, it doesn't makes our wi-fi perfect, one of my friends has a samsung device which works much better.
3- Best way to enhance wi-fi is by puting some custom ROM, and it still somewhat unstable.

That's all, and sorry for the topic, it wasn't really necessary
