Default How to factory reset after rooting

So yeah I've flashed cwm and I've flashed super su. Zip via CWM on my galaxy grand. So my question is how would I factory reset? My phone is going really slow and I'm wanting to factory reset it. How can I do that? can I just do it like that? Or would I have to unroot first and then do it?

So it's okay if I'm rooted right? I don't need to unroot or anything?

Go to Cwm recovery, backup your phone,, press factory reset, option available on Cwm recovery.. After rest, restore from previous made backup. That's all.. It Will affect your rooting

Can you please be a bit more detailed? like how would I use titanium back up and stuff?

EDIT: This is my brother's phone and he's the one who's asking these questions, just saying.
