Question [Q] WiFi does not establish connection to google?

Hey guys i've gotten my one v back for quite some time now and now it's running sphongle (the latest version). i have this problem where i can connect to wifi but the icon is grey color (like when there is no internet access) but when i open apps that need internet (ex: instagram and twitter) they work but however any app related to google ( google play store & youtube) they don't work like they are in offline mode.

any and all help is appreciated

you're not connected to google's servers.
HTC One V (August 27th 2012 - August 3rd 2013, still own) -> LG Nexus 4 (August 3rd 2013 - January 11th 2014, still own) -> Nokia Lumia 520 (January 11th 2014 - present)

Try removing your Google account from your phone and adding it back
