Default [Q] Cannot Solve Boot Loop Issue with HTC EVO 3D

I have an unrooted HTC Evo 3D from Virgin Mobile. It has been having freezing issues and about a week ago failed to charge after the battery ran out. I have since replace the battery and it has been in a boot loop since then. I can get into the Boot Menu, but neither using the recovery option or the Factory reset seems to make a difference.

Simlock yields the following result:

Fat32 init OK
Open MCCMNC file fail
Open CID file fail

I'm willing to try anything at this point.

Have you tried rooting it? This could be the problem, or try adding a custom recovery

I had the same problem.(now i'm rooted)
So, take the battery out, put it back, then enter the bootloader (volume down + power button) and choose the factory reset option. I THINK factory resetting the phone is the only option. So if you have a sd card, take it out.

Hope it works
