Default dialer problem with "+1" phone numbers

Hello all,

I am running into problem with dialer for my Verizon HTC one
If I dial +1-XXX-XXX-XXXX, I got
"Network status
the network is busy. Please try again later.

Dismiss"

If I dial 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX (without the "+"), everything is fine.

I move all my contact from google account and most of my contact has "+1".
I really don't want to go delete them one by one.

Any one has this problem?
Any one has solutions?

Thank you very much

I tried this out with 1-nxx-nxx-xxxx and found no issues.

I think the + adds the 1

I am running stock debloated odex rom

If you're running ecliptic, Hawk has this issue and is working hard on it.

Download prefixer. Search delete +1 for the script to use with it. Works great

Now that you used prefixer, can you send MMS on hangouts?
