Default [Q] Moto G vs. Moto X: Which to Gift

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to gift a new smartphone to my wife this holiday. She is by no means an Android power-user. I'm debating between the G and the X (I snagged a discount code for the X). I know the spec rundown for both devices, but I'm not sure I can justify nearly double the cost for the X. I'm looking for input from people who may have used both devices. Which would you choose as a daily-driver for a non-techie and why?

Thanks.

The biggest difference for a non-techie person will be in the camera department. The always listening mode in Moto X as well as higher customizability through Moto Maker are another 2 factors which should be taken into consideration. Moto G also has no LTE support or gyroscope to take photospheres.
