It's a huge improvement, heck it is actually smoother in many places than my Galaxy Note with KitKat and not far off in many others in terms of speed (when opening the dialer, settings, sms etc.).

Device: Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000
ROM: Homemade OmniROM KitKat 4.4 with a few cherry-picks
Version: January 12th 2014
Kernel: Stock Kernel

KK roms are bringing life again to our old sgs... e.g. with the nightlies of cm11 I'm getting 100mb or even more free RAM with the normal processes while in 4.3 I was happy when I had 30mb free...

Ye, the KK4.4 performance on SGS is awesome, didnt think this wd b so smooth on this old device ... except only 1 little problem I have is my home button is not working, its like its disabled or something, tried changing in usr keylayout, but not working.
