So if I take it to a SAT (Phone repair shop?) What exactly do they need to do to fix it?
I presume they don't just wave a magic wand
They will take a look ramdomly ur phone. They will try to reflash/reset it (with own/samsung software programs) for try to revive ur machine. If they can't do nothing, they will send it to one company that normally repairs hardware and pieces. This is a big crap coz maybe u will have to wait 2 weeks or more depending of them. Good luck

These are the steps I followed.
* Open Odin 3.09
* "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" are ticked
* Click "AP"
* Select I9505XXUEMK9_I9505VFGEMK2_I9505XXUEMK9_HOME.tar.md 5
* Put S4 in Download Mode, Power button and Down-Volume button.
* Connect with new cable, Press start.

I have the modem - I9505XXUEMK9_MODEM
I used the "CP" Option in ODIN To flash the modem.

Are all these steps correct?
If you flash I9505XXUEMK9_I9505VFGEMK2_I9505XXUEMK9_HOME.tar.md 5 file in AP you don't need to flash the modem, because it is included on AP md5 file. Maybe you could be corromping something. Just flash md5 file.

I just flashed md5, now I get a box on the homescreen with yellow writing.
My wifi isn't working so can't get screenshot, it says -

OK factory reset after flashing Rom removed the yellow text stuff. But, you guessed it, Still no baseband and signal etc.
EDIT - WRONG, Yellow text came back after 2 minutes

mmmm... I have got a S2 since several years and now also a s4, a lot of custom rom and modem flashed, but I have never seen that screen... ¿Where do you got that info? At download mode? After rebooting???

mmm.. Ok, I can see in your first post you actually have CM11 kit kat ROM installed, is it? Maybe this CM11 ROM is based on stock 4.2.2 I9505XXUAMDD ROM, and after flashing your md5 file with 4.3 I9505XXUEMK9 you still have XXUAMDD ROM... in other words, flashing process failed.

What messages you get in download mode screen and in odin when flashing? Any error?

Maybe you need to search for stock I9505XXUAMDD ROM, flash it with the same procedure, and then flash XXUAMDD ROM, but it is important you catch the error messages both in odin and in the device while download mode.

Maybe you should post it on CM11 thread and just ask how to back to stock rom, and if same procedure you are trying, expose your problem there.

OK, So I've downloaded the following file from Sammobile -

Model: GT-I9505
Country: United Kingdom (Vodafone)
Version: Android 4.3
Changelist: 2082040
Build date: Thu, 21 Nov 2013 06:20:53 +0000
Product Code: VOD
PDA: I9505XXUEMK9
CSC: I9505VFGEMK2
MODEM: I9505XXUEMK9
DOWNLOAD: Terafile

Originally, my device is a United Kingdom, Vodafone Galaxy S4 GT-i9505.
So As far as I can see, the downloaded file above is exactly correct?
It's a stock rom, no cm11. Does it include the correct modem and flash it?

With this, I use Odin 3.09, click AP and fire away.

When it is complete( No errors in Odin ), I have the following problems.
No signal.
Baseband = Unknown.
Wifi-won't turn on.
Microphone app won't work.
Speaker doesn't play any sound.

What am I doing wrong?

You did correctly in a normal situation, but what I told you in my post #25 was no exatly that, but flash first I9505XXUAMDD ROM (the same base rom you had with CM11) and then try to update to 4.3. I said that because I wanted to go out from CM11 to stock by the opposite procedure you take when installed CM11, it is, come back to stock I9505XXUAMDD ROM and then do what ever you want...

You did it directly, but in any case it neither is wrong. Anyway it is too late to flash I9505XXUAMDD ROM because now you have 4.3 bootloader and that ptohibe to you toi install any stock 4.2.2.

In this point, I only left to advice this:

1) Be sure you have last drivers (you know it if you have install in your PC Kies 3, the only kies that works with S4 4.3 ROM). Odin will not flash S4 correctly with previous kies drivers.

2) If your PC is a desktop, try flashing the last ROM you flashed using a USB from rear the CPU instead one of the front.

3) If you have a different data cable than your stock s4 cable, try using it to flash again the last ROM you flashed.

If all this don't work for you (mainly first point), sorry, but you only left SAT.
