Question [Q] N7*** note 2 bootloader in i317

I have installed DN3 on my att samsung galaxy note 2 (i317).
As mentioned in the development section posts, WIFI is not working. I selected the N7105 option while flashing.

Now according following thread, I should upgrade to latest bootloader for N7105 device.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=2789

Is it safe to flash that bootloader on i317? I have not unlocked or done anything with bootloader.
If not, should I use the other option to flash wifi fix to current bootloader?

How can I see the version of the bootloader on my device?

I have the same questions. I have been searching for the same answers
1) Where can I find a post/link with the bootloader for an AT&T Note 2 i317?
2) How can I determine what version of the bootloader I currently have? I assume it is the old one but want to be able to verify after the flash.
3) I did flash a WIFI fix before flashing a SkyNote ROM.
Any answers would be appreciated.

I believe flashing the Devil Kernel is the answer your looking for......I would not flash any bootloader that isnt for your device. I havent looked at either thread in a few days but as of 3 or 4 days ago that was the answer, so i would try it again

Thanks for the reply.

What is the difference between flashing a kernel & flashing a bootloader?
Where can I get that kernel? Is the kernel phone specific or generic?
How do I know the kernel that I have & what will the new kernel change?
Where can I read more about it?

You can use a market app to display your device info… I use Quick Systems Info Pro, but I know there are other (free) apps which provide similar device information. See screenshot as an example of identifying current bootloader:

I wouldnt touch your bootloader unless its for your device
Skynote would be the thread I would read when it comes the the Devil Kernel. As there are several different versions of it, but for Ditto note I used 1.9 and all was good.

Do you have an att note 2 (i317)?
If yes, then I will just flash 1.9 instead of experimenting.
Thanks!
