just received mk2 update on phone.if i install this update will i lose root.

software version=L720vpuemja
hardware version=L720.08
model # SPH-L720
ANDROID VERSION=4.3.3
BASEBAND=L720VPUEMJA

Yes you will but you can easy re-root.

You have to be stock rooted with no mods and stock recovery to get it.

I am rooted with custom recovery how do. I stop the update from downloading. I keek getting notification update download complete.

Easy way to do it is to wait for the notification to show up again. Go into the notification pane (drag down from the top of the screen), long press on the notification itself, go to App Info and then uncheck the Notification box in there.

Just a small clarification. You don't have to be rooted. That may work too, but I've always done the updates with an un-rooted stock ROM and recovery.

Yes I know that you can unroot and still update that way but people tend to take updates when they are rooted with mods for some reason and then come ask ehy cant I take update. so yeah I said that just to safe the process of odining back to stock.

Did you do all of this while on the knox bootloader or do you still have the MF9/4.2.x BL?

yes i pushed the stock mk2 update from samsungs website through odin, then pushed phil's recovery, then flashed super u, lost root so i had to root again, i am currently on rooted mk2 stock with with phil's touch recovery waiting for odexed rom with hotspot mod
