Default reset flash counter without touchscreen?

I dropped my GS3 and something broke. I have a black blob and a few lines with a nonresponsive touch screen. I called the Sprint store and they may let me pay for a refurb which I'm alright with. I want to reset the flash counter if it's needed and put the factory image back on using odin? The following links look like it's all I'll need but my question is can I reset this flash counter without the touch screen functionality? Is there something more up to date?

Nevermind....I found some other tutorials that look like they'll get me there.

It looks like that flash counter needs to be installed through the UI. Unless there is another way to reset this counter can a USB mouse/keyboard be used with an adapter to allow me to move around on the device? I think I'm screwed....
