Question [Q] overclocking

is overclocking safe ?? won't it break the CPU eventually ?

It is safe, but you must think what are you doing. Increase OC for 100mhz, do some test(ex. benchmark) and if everthing is ok, increase OC. Big part of ROMs have " lock " on OC at safe level.

Overclocking a bit (as mentioned above very less) is safe temperarily. But if you over clock more(by more GHz and more time)
1)It physically damages CPU.
(My dad is computer engineer and I have seen such computer CPUs.)
2) It drains battery like crazy.
E.g. I have galaxy y with default 832MHz. Overclocking to 900MHz for short time is safe, but 1.248GHz is dangerous.
You paid for specific clocking frequency, so you cannot expect more.
