Question [Q] ADB & fastboot on Windows 8.1 x64?

Hello guys, I'm trying to get ADB & fastboot working on Windows 8.1 64 bit but no luck so far.. I tried various drivers and whatnot all of them failed, some even broke my USB 3.0 ports.. Could someone who got this to work provide correct drivers for USB 3.0 or HTC One?
Thanks.

I've had crap luck on getting ADB to work on regular windows 8. I guess it's a luck thing. PM me is you find any way. there are various threads around mentioning how you can do it for windows 8 devices but none have worked for me.
Rocking the HTC ONE M7

The only for sure way to get fastboot working on windows 8.1 is to update your hboot to 1.55.000 and up or the hboot 1.54.000 from the GPE from the Android 4.4 update. Once your on these hboot fastboot and adb work fine in windows 8.1 x86 or x64.

the dark bootloader files here are all updated to the newer version hboot

You need S-off for these to work
