Default CM 10 Install Issue

Everything went fine and I used Safestrap but when I go to install the ROM in slot 1 and then restart all i get is a black screen. I did get an error message when wiping data saying:

data format complete-FAILED in red"..E:unable to format data..please help. Phone boots fine when i switch to stock ROM and load that.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

You can NOT use safestrap to flash any 3rd party ROM other then the ones that supports it which are very few. To flash cm10 or other ROMs you need to unlock the bootloader. Also you need to flash a recovery like Phil's advance recovery based on cwm or cwm itself.

The bootloader is unlocked already.

Since your bootloader is unlocked, can you uninstall Safestrap and install CWM?

Yes he can, I had safe strap first, then went and put CWM on later.
