Default Break the chains from Samsung Gear manager

Who else would be keen on that? Every time something goes wrong and you need to re do the blue tooth you are forced to restore with the gear manager removing all your files and apps

If you do a TWRP backup on the Gear first, after doing the restore from Gear Manager, do a restore of data only in TWRP on the Gear and it will restore all apps, settings, widgets etc.

I know it's not ideal, but I've done it with the last couple of Gear Manager updates and it sets everything on the Gear up as it was before the Gear Manager update.

The /sdcard partition is untouched during a restore. If you have to do it through Gear Manager, I recommend using Titanium to back the apps up, redownload Titanium from Play after the restore, then restore all apps.
HTC Dream (G1) 12/2008-04/2010
Motorola MB200 (Cliq) 04/2010-11/2010
HTC Vision (G2) 11/2010-01/2014
HTC Doubleshot (MyTouch 4G Slide) 05/2011-06/2012
B&N Acclaim (Nook Tablet) 03/2012-12/2013
Samsung GT-I8190 (GS3 mini) 01/2013-04/2013
Samsung SGH-M919 (T-Mobile GS4) 04/2013-Current
Samsung SM-V700 (Galaxy Gear) 12/2013-Current
Samsung N9005 (Int'l Galaxy Note 3) 12/2013-Current

Iv considered looking into this, although it would be to much maintenance.. Hardly worth it.

I would recommend simply backing up your configuration's of your apps to sdcard eg. launcher (nova in my case), tasker & zooper widgets, pull the APK's from your gear of your installed apps & pull your sdcard data.

I dont use recovery backup whats so ever, I simply do the above and it literally takes 3 minutes to restore my setup.
