Issues with KitKat, anyone else seeing anything? I can install just fine but when I try to place them on the stock nexus 5 launcher I get a force close on the widget app.

Yes there is in issue with KitKat still. The widget app may force close but you should still be able to go back in and add the widget. The only problem is, I've seen the widget actually disappear on reboot. I've checked my code repeatedly and am now to the point I'm positive it has something to do with the widget handler in KitKat. Even more so since I have seen other widgets that have the same problem as well. I am trying to work out the issue, but haven't came up with a fix yet. Maybe soon...

My widget apps use wifi for the ads that are in the portion of the widget app that is located in the app drawer.
I guess I could have listed what all permissions my widgets use and what for. For now I'll list them here:
INTERNET: Used to access the Internet to make ad requests.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to check if an internet connection is available prior to making an ad request.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Was an attempted fix to get the widgets to show on boot in KitKat.
WAKELOCK: Was an attempted fix to keep the widget app from force closing in KitKat.
