[Q] Attempting to root using Superoneclick
For the past day I've been trying to root my phone. I've read various threads, but using the Superoneclick method seemed the easiest and most straightforward way. I've tried understanding the Heimdall method, but I fail to properly grasp it.
I want to root my phone so I can remove the bloatware / preinstalled apps.
I followed this tutorial : http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki...-T959V/Rooting
And installed the drivers I found at this link : http://www.mediafire.com/download/hz...nes%283%29.exe
The problems I'm running into are that the drivers don't seem to be installed.
The following device does not have drivers installed :
Android Composite ADB Interface
When I try to forcefully install the drivers I get the message that there is 'no more data available'.
And the root stops at step 7.
I am using a windows 7 64bit
And my phone is a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4G
Model number : SGH-T959V
Firmware version : 2.2.1
Baseband version : T959VUVKB5
Kernel version : 184.108.40.206
Build number : FROYO.VUVKB5
I would be very grateful if someone could help me figure this out.
