Question [Q] How do you update a rooted Nexus 7 (2012)?

Hi there!

I have a Nexus 7 (2012) with Xposed, Busybox, MultiROM and root installed with a custom recovery and a modded build.prop. When I try to install the update.zip with TWRP, it fails. So I uninstalled busybox and Xposed, and it still fails. So, I restored build.prop and it still fails! The MultiROM is just a modded recovery, kernel and boot.IMG which shouldn't affect the process as far as I'm aware.

I want to update it from 4.4 to 4.4.2, I just can't get it to work.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks,

when in twrp (make sure it is most current) be sure to check mounts are not checked. uncheck all of them if you want to. you can also try rebooting to bootloader from twrp and them directly into recovery from there.
