Default [Q] about the Ubuntu Rom

hello guys well i read many times about the ubuntu touch rom for I9000 but it had always the same bugs no GSM .. so i can't use it for calls ...
well my questions is : did ubuntu montioned about the upcoming date of this great rom ?? i just want to know the release date of the real rom with all the tweaks working especially the CALLS and SMS ...
i hope i get an answer as soon as possible because i mostly feel there are something to have that special rom with calls and sms ....

You probably know that calls and SMS rely on a functional RIL (radio interface layer). This handles all GSM/CDMA network content.

Around the time the Ubuntu Touch rom by pawitp was released, no functional RIL was built by Canonical for GSM to work. Hence, pawitp couldn't include it either.
I'm fairly sure that he said that his port was a one-time project.

Since then I believe that a version with RIL has been released, so its only a matter of porting it.
