Default CPU profile on CM11

I'm running the 12/28 nightly of cm11 and I was wondering how the CPU profile setting (power save, balanced, and performance) works with the cm11 CPU governors (interactive, conservative, etc). Does one trump the other? Do they somehow work together?

From AOKP, I remember that Powersave mostly uses one CPU, Balanced uses 1-3 cores, and Performances keeps all four cores active. Its probably the same on CM. The governors control the clock speed of each core. The interactive will increase the clock speed as activity increases and decrease as activity decreases. The conservative will keep the clock speed low.
