Default stuck "downloading"

ok gents...and ladies, this is for an sgh-t959v galaxy s 4g. My son was trying to flash a rom to his phone and somehow, I have no idea, screwed the pooch and his phone is now stuck in "downloading" mode. the battery was pulled for several days and when the phone is rebooted it goes immediately to the "downloading" screen. any help what so ever would greatly be appreciated. Not: its not stuck in download mode...well sort of, its stuck downloading.

You could either ODIN or Heimdall back to stock and that should fix it.

It also said that for me but i was still able to use odin even with that message. Try plugging in your phone into all usbs until you get some sort of yellow box on odin and from there you can use it to recover your phone.

Did you try every single usb port? If you did then you might need to clear the drivers for the usb ports and i dont remember the process exactly but i do remember using USBdeview i think.

If you have both Odin and hemidall drivers installed, they will clash (most of the time).
