Help with root method for US T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 (just need it for wifi tether)
I rooted my prior HTC phone to allow me to add the Wifi Tether app.
That was with another mobile provider (i.e. not T-Mobile).
I have since switched to T-Mobile for my Galaxy Note 3.
I am looking to root my Note 3
(without tripping the Knox flag / counter) just so I can install Wifi Tether
If I just need Wifi Tether capability, which root methods are available and is any one recommended over the others
I have seen mentions of no
-root Wifi Tether apps (FoxFi among others).
However, I believe these wifi tether apps either had issues in general (did not work as advertised) and / or these apps don't work with T-Mobile specifically (some actually appear to work for Sprint, AT&T and Verizon Note 3 phones).
I believe I am therefore forced to root to use wifi tether (assuming T-Mobile not working with wifi tether for free is only occurring when one is NOT rooted and trying to use the no-root wifi tether solutions being posted on the net.
