What does one give up when buying a Moto g instead of a Moto X?

Would a "Verizon" Moto g be different from a generic one?

Thanks.
Yes I have seen a Moto G today at my BestBuy for $99 CDMA version!

Do you know if it was 8GB or 16GB?
Droid > Droid Incredible > Droid X > Galaxy Nexus > Droid Razr Maxx > Galaxy S3 > Droid DNA > Moto X

I doubt it. The CDMA version does not appear to be a dual-mode/"world" (GSM + CDMA) phone, according to motorola.com. It won't have a SIM card slot and will only talk to CDMA towers.
