I brought TWRP back from the dead
Hi, I managed to destroy my installation of TWRP while attempting to update it. Leaving my device in a boot loop any time I tried to access TWRP.
I got out of it by doing this.
Downloading the latest version of TWRP
Extracting the .img file from the .zip
Using ADB push to transfer the .img file onto the device.
adb push otter2-twrp-188.8.131.52-recovery.img /sdcard/
I accessed the devices shell
Then using the dd command I reinstalled TWRP
dd if=/sdcard/otter2-twrp-184.108.40.206-recovery.img of=/dev/block/platform/omap/omap_hsmmc.1/by-name/recovery
I haven't seen similar solutions without requiring a fastboot cable so I thought I would add this here for anyone else that becomes stuck.
