I see nothing that would indicate this is a GSM area. HTC One (which I own) > One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting (Which is what I need)

well your in the wrong section try here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-one/help

most people here will assume your on GSM and lead you to files that will Brick your phone. CDMA and GSM are totally different devices.

Nobody is questioning what you own, but the HTC One (aka M7) has quite a few variants: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2223236

This forum is mostly populated by M7_U and M7_UL versions;
Verizon specific can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one
Sprint specific can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-one

and by the way, "According to the TWRP website, my phone should be m7wls", isn't how you find out what version you have, either check bootloader screen, or "fastboot getvar all" output to see what your phone is.
