Default Otg and kitkat

So I'm on kitkat, all is wonderful, but today I just tried to connect my sdcard by otg like I use to do on jelly bean, but I noticed the phone never detect the device and don't send power to the sdcard reader

I also tried with the powered otg cable ( y cable) But The problem persist, so I'm wondering if kitkat update cut off the otg support?

Hope you can check on your devices to see if the problem is only on my end.

It 's a known fact that KK dropped the native OTG support. You can still use it with third party app like e.g. Stickmount.

Sent from my XT1032 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Device: Moto G 8GB non-LTE bought from Amazon.de
Current ROM: German Retail 4.4.4
Previous ROMs: almost every stock firmware for XT1032 you can think of
Workflow: 1. read - 2. think - 3. try - 4. goto 1

Useful link(s):
