As I didn't find any post that would help me I decided to write it.
My problem was with flashing recovery or rooting wildfire s using Windows 8.1.
My PC doesn't want to see my phone when it in hboot/bootloader
So any ways to use adb service weren't for me. So, both of such important steps as rooting and custom recovery installing seems to be close to impossible.
And also when I tried to flash cwm.zip as PG76IMG.zip I used to see "Main Version is Older. Update fail." or endless "Parsing.. "
I was still able to flash recovery with root rights using rom manager or to root device using recovery
1. I found surely compatible cwm recovery for my htc.
cwm 220.127.116.11 for gsm maybe (if last should be chosen) + I already was on 2.26.401.3 firmware
2. For dealing with main version problem I've increased mainver number into android-info.txt dramatically
modelid: PG7610000 cidnum: HTC__001 cidnum: HTC__N34 cidnum: HTC__203 cidnum: HTC__102 cidnum: HTC__405 cidnum: HTC__Y13 cidnum: HTC__A07 cidnum: HTC__304 cidnum: HTC__032 cidnum: HTC__016 cidnum: HTC__E11 mainver: 44.26.401.3 hbootpreupdate:13 DelCache: 1
3. For dealing with parsing problem I've rebuilt zip-file with my 7-zip.
1. Extract files from your PG76IMG.zipEpilogue
2. Archive files using store mode
As to recovery.zip, there are two files: recovery.img and android-info.txt
After all of this I've used root.zip I picked somewhere and it worked on my little gray friend.
Now I'm dealing with another questions (why cwm 18.104.22.168 could not be installed)
Dear friends, feel free to correct me with everything you wish. From my words to thread destination. Use pm or reply here.
