I recently requested a replacement phone since my charger port was damage and wouldn't take the charger plug.

After getting the replacement device I tried setting it up like I had my other one. I first wanted to install the OTA update.
It crashed constantly. I couldn't get the phone upgraded and now I went on with installing the apps I need and use and still running the update
in hope that something will come about...nothing.

Any ideas how I can update? Even if it's not OTA.

Any needed info please feel free to ask.

You can update the phone via kies.
If you want to root your phone and care about warranty then I would highly advise you to read more about 4.3 before updating.

Is there an alternative solution?
I am on a Chromebook so installing a exe is impossible.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help.

You might check and see if Heimdall will work properly on ChromeOS. If so you are in business.

Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
