Default How to root?

Hey all, new rezound owner, coming from a thunderbolt. I'm going to be using win7 x64. What's the easiest way to root and rom? I see a few threads here about s-off but nothing about root. I'm thinking about going with pacman rom but I am open to suggestions.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

You need to start with unlocking the bootloader via the HTCDEV site - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...79&postcount=1

After that you can install a recovery, root the stock rom or install a custom already rooted rom.

If you remain s-on, you'll need to flash the kernel with any rom you want to install separately via fastboot.

One of the best guides for rooting the Rezound, although slightly dated... http://forums.androidcentral.com/rez...oming-faq.html

Note that Amon Ra recovery is not recommended for any ROM higher than ICS, CWM or TWRP is, you can substitute it anywhere Amon Ra is in most guides on the internet.

I recommend twrp. There are cool themes made by Reventech and its probably the most stable.

I have twrp in my N7 and am familiar with it. I did have CWM but didn't like the way it hides backups, lack of versatility.

The old Tbolt I am using 4ext and is pretty good.
