Otg flashdrive question

I have connected a flash drive to my nexus through otg and would like to know if i can format the flash drive from my tablet?

Hmm, although I have not tried this yet, I would imagine you could.

Is your device rooted?
Find out what the otg usb drive is: eg: /dev/sda ?

COMMANDS PROVIDED BY INTERNET USERS.

As root you would type one of the following, depending how you want it formatted, and what the dev device is. eg: /dev/sda or /dev/sdb etc

mkfs.ext2 /dev/sda
or
mkfs.vfat /dev/sda
of
mkfs.exfat /dev/sda
