@hamdogg 's doggrom has build prop tweaks that optimise 3g, google data etc - maybe have a look over there

ro.ril.enable.3g.prefix=1 (don't add this if you have a 4G device)

paste those into your existing build.prop

They are 3G/4G and wifi tweaks. All it does is allow maximum data in and out, takes away the buffer cap.
Also TCPIP tweaks for faster response.
