I had a rooted VZW Maxx oon 4.2.2. In my excitement to upgrade to KitKat I simply pressed the Install Now button and now my phone is in an endless bootloop.

Any thoughts on how to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

The phone is rebooting looking for recovery that you don't have because you're rooted. FXZ to stock with houseofmoto then follow the instructions for slapmymoto if you want to maintain root on 4.4

I was able to recover with titanium backup, just freze and then deleted OTA_updater, took a few tries to get it done in the short time I had before the reboot.

Super frustrating!

Does anyone have the OTA Update.Zip? Seems like I can't find it anywhere. Where is that DEV addition from? Is it like a stock version or something?

(Reason the this is because I have some weird rooted but not rooted version of 4.4 and need the stock 4.4 update.zip. HELP!!!)

That worked great! And I'm still on 4.2.2 so I need to look into how to keep root for KitKat now...
