Got my new Z1s earlier today, and so far so good, long press has been working 100% of the time so far after a couple hours use.

Side note that may or may not be related: my other phone also got an "overheated battery" warning a couple times that I attributed to initial charge, this one did not.

Knock on wood but it looks like the exchange was worth it and I encourage anyone else with this issue to exchange for another.

You need to grab an updated adb from google's sdk that supports device fingerprinting.

No problems with the screen here but i am having other problems with the phone.
Its the second time that the phone randomly restarts and sometimes everything in the home screen disappears when im using chrome. Weird.

having absolutely zero issues here. although i've had the phone for less than 24 hours.. so we'll see if i find any goofy quirks.

I was experiencing the same issue.. My replacement should be here on Monday. I have my fingers crossed
