Hey,
Next to my HTC One, I got a samsung galaxy S.
The problem with my i9000 is that it's really slow with a lot of freezes and the battery life is also really bad, it lasts for 12 hours with almost no usage. At this moment it's running android 2.3.3.

I want to make it faster and have a longer battery life.
I'm new into these things and don't really know what to do or how to do it, so I would love some help.

Do I need a custom rom or an other kernel?
If I need a custom rom or kernel how do I install those?

I appreciate all help
By the way, sorry for my bad grammar, it's not my native language.

Thanks, but I've already used almost all of the battery saving tips and the battery is only five months old.
