Battery drain

I have been using my Note 2 for more than a year now
For the last two weeks I have noticed the battery drops very quickly and charges at a very slow rate (Specially with the USB cable)
Most of the battery is consumed by Android OS (as shown by "battery" in settings and by GSAM battery monitor)
The only thing I might have done is I have put in a 32 GB memory card in the slot. I didnt use a memory card before. I dont know if this could be the culprit. Need Help!

Which rom are you using? I know the current CyanogenMod nighties have this problem, which can be resolved with using non-stock kernel such as Devil.

Its unrooted, I have done factory reset yesterday... So far so good

Still cant figure out what was causing this drain

Is media towards the top in your battery stats?

Its android OS and android system always right at the top, after screen
