Android drive encryption

I used the iphone´s hardware encryption to encrypt all my phone data, now on my Galaxy Note II I am wondering if there is something similar. Hardware? Software?

Device encryption in available for,all androids >ICS.
Go to settings ----> Location and security----> Encryption. You need charger because it takes lot of time.
You can encrypt phone and memory card. But if you forget password, you need factory reset.
