charge it to full charge, wait for the led to turn green. might take 2-3 hours.

you don't need to charge it full before you can use it.

Just 'til it's full (green led), but it's not as important as a couple of years ago as battery technology has improved.

he said it would not power on ...new phone right from the store in a glass case. I told him to charge it at least an hour and try to boot it up

the first thread was about a problem of the phone, this one was about the amount time i had to charge htc one for the first time.
