The issue might be just that you have an unsecured or "unstable" kernal and the RUU doesn't like that.
He cant use that RUU because his hboot version is 1.55. you need hboot 1.44 to use that ruu and the only way to install that ruu will require s-off.
You will need S-off to run the RUU if you have a higher firmware version on your phone currently.
You may need to flash hboot 1.44 before the RUU will install. S-Off Required.

Now download this guru reset
Move the .zip file to your adb/fastboot folder of your computer
boot phone in bootloader mode, select fastboot, then connect usb cable to computer.
enter twrp recovery then open a cmd prompt from your adb/fastboot folder
adb push name_of_guru_reset.zip /sdcard/
when the transfer is complete, in twrp select ''install'' and chose the zip that should be at the root of your sdcard
then follow instruction in aroma installer.
