[Q] Modifying the internal antenna

Has anyone tried this? http://blog.brokenlcds.com/samsung-g...twork-problem/

Can would it be possible to attach a flat external antenna for better reception in crappy reception areas? (like the wifi antennas you can buy for a laptop pcie cards. But built for the correct frequencies that our phones use) maybe I'm over thinking this.

thats cute they tell you to upgrade your OS as a last resort. im not doubting the competence of the whole thing off that but the whole procedure to solving the inital problem should be revised where people aren't modifying hardware as a inital attempt to remedy the issue. when basebands play a greater role then anything else and are pushed with ota updates.
