Hello,

My usb port is busted, so I will get the files on my phone using dropbox and a MD5 hash check. I will try to put the most stable 4.4 on the phone, and never touch it.

I found that some kernals have poor voice quality, for the person on the receiving end, since I feel the mic is over amplified.

If I get 4.4 with the new partition layout. Is it possible to downgrade using a recovery in the backup manager, or just use the original installer (rom.zip) file again to go back?

With no USB, I cannot ODIN if I mess up and get stuck in a boot loop. I don't want to stay on 4.4 if I have poor call quality.

Thanks guys.

I know it can, I have done it many times using ODIN factory recovery software on the computer. Problem is that you need a functioning USB port.
