Thanks for the guide, @stanley08. I just wanted to inform you guys that in some cases, it's not needed to perform all that. I was on Criskelo V5 with chenglu's CWM recovery, and I just flashed V6 straight away with no wipe. No TWRP, no SuperSU zip, and everything is just fine. I'm now on 4.4 with root, and ExtSDCard works without a fix.

Lol. Custom ROM - Stock ROM. See the difference?

root is ok, no sd card in 3rd party apps. methods described in the fix thread dont work

Yes I know. The thing is, your thread is talking about rooting 4.4 in general, and I saw many people wondering about the rooting issue (either stock or custom), so I shared mine for it might help someone.
