Hello people, made the switch from the HTC ONE SPRINT VARIANT today to the SPRINT LG G2. I of course rooted the phone immediately, but my question is this! I have yet to install a custom recovery, if i have not done so, would taking an ota have any adverse effects? I have no otas to take, this is more of a hypothetical question for future reference as I have no idea of the workings of LG products, just primarily HTC based products

I'm trying to understand your question..so are you asking if you can do an OTA update before a custom recovery?

In a sense yes. With the htc one. Taking a carrier released ota was as simple as relocking, making sure you had a stock recovery, and flashing the ota and then of course rerooting. I was just curious if the same applied to this
