You can't ''adb -s'' because the same device is listed twice under two different conditions (recovery and offline). You should only have the one with recovery. Can be cause by many things:
  • First reboot computer (to reset it) and reboot phone to twrp

when in twrp
Code:
Select Code
adb kill-server
adb start-server
adb devices
is the offline device still listed?
  • Try this:
Code:
Select Code
adb version
you should use version 1.0.31, if not download and install the newest android sdk here

then check adb devices again.
  • try different usb ports (2.0) and try a different usb cable (with data capability, not only a usb power cable)

if adb still dont work, you should consider buying a usb otg cable and copy the guru.zip to a usb stick and use the otg cable to access it via twrp.
