I notice my N7100 is prompting root request from "Android System UID" after recent installation of a custom ROM. This never happen before on all of previous stock ROMs for over more than 12 months. Have anyone face the same issue? The unintended app having root access can potentially do a lot of unwanted activities without our knowledge. Anyone can help? TQ.

What ROM did u install?

Smack that Thanks button if I helped!
KitKat came in on my OmniROM, running on my Note 2.
Sent from a small country called Singapore.
P.S. Time for school, not much time for XDA

It is a ML6 based custom ROM. Not to mention the ROM name if nobody is having similar issue, as that may be offensive. In most custom ROMs, there are mostly several key contributors.

Hmmm... don't think u should allow it. Deny it for a few days, and if any (weird) problems occur, allow it and check again.

(ROMs on XDA shouldn't be suspicious, should it?)

Yes, I'm disabling the root request.
Using custom ROM has certain risk elements involve.
