Default Can I get updates if I'm using a rom??

Hey so I was just making sure. But, I know 4.4.2 comes out this week. If I flash a rom. Can I still get the update? Like a rom from the developer section?

tl;dr version: No.

Elaborated version: Unless the developer of the ROM you are using decides to update to 4.4.2, then you won't even see the software update on your device. You can always flash an updated ROM and get the update that way, but as far as the official update from HTC/AT&T... It won't come to your device.

Hope this helps!
