1st way - Instructions on how to port to other devices

What we need:

- Source files (1080p)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/b7fqlwu2wo...oogle_Boot.zip

- Paint.net or something else to resize the canvas size

- The resolution of our device, Width x Height

e.g. Nexus4 768x1280

1) Download the Source Files and "extract to folder" (mantain this structure please)

2) Navigate to /Google_boot/part0

3) Open all the .PNGs in Paint

4) Select "Canvas Size"

5) Resize the Canvas with the correct values and do it for all others PNGs!

6) Make the Bootanimation with Bootanimation factory (Look at the end of this post! first I will show a second possibility on how to do this!)

2nd way - istructions on how to port to other devices

What we need:

- Source files from the Original Gif

https://www.dropbox.com/s/8vw19rtstb...Source_gif.zip

- Paint.net! and Align Objects Plugin (http://paint.net.amihotornot.com.au/.../Align_Object/)

- The resolution of our device, Width x Height

e.g. Nexus4 768x1280

1) Download the Source Files and "extract to folder" (mantain this structure please)

2) Navigate to /Source_Gif/part0

3) Create a 768x1280 PNG!

4) Select the Background Color of the Original GIF (222222) (this is needed to have full screen boot)

5) Color the PNG created in 1) using Paint Bucket

6) Open the image and add all the frames as layer

7) Click on empty space to remove the selection

8) Align 'em All!
(repeat this for all frames)

Let's do the Bootanimation!

What we need:

- Bootanimation Factory !
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1678540

- A template to Flash the Boot!

Bootanimation_flashable_template.zip

1) Open Bootanimation Factory

2) Select the folder containing the frames You created using method 1 or 2 and click yes to all warnings, if any

3) Add the loop!

4) Save Your
Code:
bootanimation.zip

5) Add (drag&drop using 7zip or a zip manager) the bootanimation.zip inside the template I provided (Bootanimation_flashable_template.zip\system\media \add_here!).

6) You can also change the name and the ui_print (what we see during the flash process) inside Bootanimation_flashable_template.zip\META-INF\com\google\android\updater_script if You want

Extract it from the template and open using Notepad++. It will look like this:

Code:
ui_print("enricocid   ");
ui_print("bootanimation  ");
run_program("/sbin/mount", "/system");
package_extract_dir("system", "/system");
run_program("/sbin/umount", "/system");
ui_print("thank me if You appreciate my work");
Add the updater_script again inside the Bootanimation_flashable_template.zip\META-INF\com\google\android\add_here!! overwriting the original

Done!

Hi there, I have something in mind on how to do it in my own easy- lazy way Thanks in advance

1. pull bootanimation.zip on my ROM
2. extract bootanimation.zip (it has part0 & part1 & desc)
3. edit size of all .png in your bootanimation (480x800 my screen size)
4. then copy and paste all modified .png to my rom's bootanimation folder (part0) and .zip it back.

Now my question is:

1. will it work?
2. my rom's bootanimation.zip has 2 folders inside, part0 & part1. Is it safe to delete part1?
3. i want to add text below the animation "Google" like "CynogenMod", possible?

Here's my rom's bootanimation.

No. part1 is defined in desc.txt so You should use bootanimation factory to redo the bootanimation

Use the Nexus 4 bootanimation to mantain proportions.
Extract to the desktop and mantain the structure...

Then open all the frames inside paint.net and use RESIZE

Do this for all the frames.

Once You're done, download this Cyanogenmod layer

Open all the Google's boot frames, add the Cyanogenmod layer and center using Align Object tool.

then select Layer Properties and select additive

save selecting PNG format and "Flatten"

make this for all frames...

Then simply use the istructions above to make the bootanimation.zip using bootanimation factory
