I will resurrect a thread on Safestrap Compatible ROMS on verizon S4. I will attempt to try installing and setting up before I post the ROM and the link to that ROM. Please feel free to add to this BUT this is not a thread to ask specific questions on those ROMS. Those threads exist in other forums.
No CM, ASOP, or GPE based roms are compatible with SS3.70/3.71 andriod 4.3 build.
All revisions of the I545 after MDK (ME7, MI1, MJ7, MK2) can NOT have a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM, only Safestrap can be used.
I will start including Antutu benchmarks based on my setups with each ROM
To locate your firmware version (build number) use Settings/More/About phone. Read the "Build number". The last 3 characters are how we describe what version your phone is using and why we always ask what build or base you have. Do not confuse this with the radio baseband.
You can not flash to previous firmware releases.
USB communication with S4 can be touchy, I recommend only using the samsung USB cable that was provided with the phone.
All files downloaded need to be verified to their checksum MD5. There are free md5 checkers for windows. I strongly urge to download to PC and copy to extsd card.
Can someone explain to me what makes a rom safestrap compatible? What can I do to a rom to make it boot with safe strap?
The ROM needs to be built to use the stock TouchWiz kernel that's on the phone, as Safestrap can't replace the kernel. (Flashing a non-Samsung kernel will set the "Knox Warranty Void" flag.) per k1mu
"The number one reason people brick their Verizon Galaxy S4 phones is due to attempts to flash TRWP or CWM custom recovery and using Goo Manager, dd, and other tools without understanding when those will or won't work. The Verizon S4 is very locked down, and will reject such attempts in most cases."
I have installed this via safestrap restore option into my spare rom slot and have the ROM set up with no issues. Restored google apps thru google backup with no issues. I did flash my kernel module right after the install. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2627293 NOTE:
based on my setup, the Antutu benchmark for this ROM is 28,326

this ROM is available at Nitro's website and I won't post a link to it per xda rules I suspect that are in place.
I installed it and in process of setting up when I had issues with google playstore able to download and install ANY apps. This is a test build so its subjected to issues. I left nitro feedback on this issue. Could be due to my phone having MJ7 build base. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2351840

I have this loaded on my MJ7 build base and have set up as much as I can. The following our issues I have experienced:
- tried to install Antutu and it forces a reboot on phone when trying activate a test
- couldn't get google to restore my apps
- superuser updates after all reboots.
I have reinstalled ROM on new rom slot, same results.
no Antutu benchmarks for this ROM as the program will not execute
I have installed via safestrap rom slot restore and set up this rom without incident. NOTE:
