Service [Q] Boot to recovery problem

Hi guys

As the title says, I can't boot into recovery.

I have unlocked boot loader and rooted the my 5503 by flashing both kernel and rom. However I cannot recall wich kernel and rom. Now. My plans, for now, is to flash the phone again with AOKP but when when I'm rebooting the phone and pushes the volume button, nothing happens. It starts as normal. No lights, no nothing. I've tried to install CWM with no luck. TWRP says that root is required but FlashTool and Root Checker says it is rooted.
Due to some googling, I think that my kernel misses the FOTA kernel and if this is the case, can I flash another kernel without wipe Dalvik and factory reset?
